Improvised Dungeons and Dragons brings the classic table top RPG to life in this 90-minute improvised show! Each show, the audience selects a core cast of adventurers to embark on an epic quest guided by a guest Dungeon Master! Watch as our heroes endure triumph and tragedy, romance and revenge, all while reckoning with the whims of the almighty D20!

Out On A Whim Comedy is an improv collective that originated as a Second City Coached Ensemble under the direction of Bryce Read. From there, Out On A Whim expanded to an ensemble of 16 talented individuals.

It’s not just improv, it’s theatre on hard mode. Out On A Whim is committed to producing new complex forms, adapting genres, and utilizing traditional theatrical techniques to produce improv that is more than just a game.

Out On A Whim has performed “Improvised Dungeons and Dragons,” “Improvised Fairytales,” and “Black Tie Improv” all over the City of Chicago, and has helped raise money for Otherworld Theatre, PAWS Chicago, and The Children’s Miracle Network.
