Come watch the lunar eclipse at Peck Farm!

The Geneva Park District will host the Fox Valley Astronomical Society on January 20, 2019 to watch a lunar eclipse at Peck Farm Park.

A short lecture about the eclipse will begin at 8:30 pm in the Orientation Barn. The dark phase of the eclipse will start at 9:33, reaching totality at 10:41 and lasting until 11:43 PM. This period will be the best for viewing.

You do not need to spend the entire night outdoors in January weather to enjoy this event. The best time for viewing is between 10:41 and 11:43 and we will have the Orientation Barn (heated!) available for comfort and talk. We will be observing this event from the courtyard area adjacent to the Barn with multiple telescopes.
