You and your child are invited to the Friendship Station Preschool Open House, which is a great opportunity to meet our teachers, see our fun and educational classrooms, and learn why this program is trusted and loved by families throughout Geneva Park District!

Resident registration for the 2026-27 school year begins for residents on Feb. 5 and for non-residents on Feb. 12. Limited openings for the current school year are also available.

Who We Serve

Friendship Station Preschool offers a variety of options for 3-year-olds and 4/5-year-olds. Some sessions offer the opportunity for extended days, and we also offer themed Enrichment Classes to extend the learning and play experience.

How We Serve

In keeping with the guidelines of Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) Standards regarding early learning and literacy, our preschool program will provide appropriate activities to enhance the literacy of the young child.

Support for all children will be provided by loving, knowledgeable staff in a collaborative working partnership with each family. Our lead teachers all have Bachelor of Arts degrees in early childhood education or a related field and receive ongoing training.

Our Philosophy

Friendship Station Preschool is guided by the philosophy of learning through play. Children learn to share, create, cooperate, interact, and solve problems in a supportive and interesting environment. Because each child is individual and unique, emphasis is placed on developing a positive self-image and kindergarten readiness skills.

Directions

Friendship Station Preschool is located at 2960 Blackman Road in Geneva. From Randall Road, head west on Fargo Road. Turn left onto Shoop Drive. Turn right onto Blackman Road. The Friendship Station entrance is located on the east side of Geneva Middle School South (not through the main school doors). Limited parking is available in the Blackman Road lot and on nearby streets.

How to Enroll

• Complete this 2026-27 registration packet, bring birth certificate and $50 deposit to Sunset Community Center: 710 Western Ave, Geneva.
• Resident registration begins Feb. 5.
• Non-resident registration begins Feb. 12.

2026 Important Dates

• Jan. 15: Preschool Open House for prospective and new students from 5:30-7pm
• Feb. 4: New Student registration forms due to Sunset Community Center (710 Western Ave.) by 5pm
• Feb. 5: Random Resident Registration processing of new student forms begins
• Feb. 12: Non-Resident registration begins
• Aug. 24: First day of 2026-27 school year for 4/5-year-olds 
• Aug. 25: First day of 2026-27 school year for 3-year-olds
