The Geneva Park District’s Playhouse 38 is a unique, intimate theatre located in the heart of Downtown Geneva. It is host to the District’s Cultural Arts program and provides participants an outlet to be creative, expressive, and, most of all, have FUN. Participants of all backgrounds and experiences are welcome

"Into the Woods, Jr." is a whimsical musical featuring music & lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and it intertwines the stories of classic Brothers Grimm fairy tales.

Upcoming Auditions:

Muder Mystery: "The Groom Has Cold Feet"   August 11-13 from 6:00 - 9:00 pm

Auditions will consist of a cold reading from the script and if possible, a short prepared comedic monologue.   Once cast, a minimal script fee and registration will be required. Rehearsals will be Tuesday-Thursday from 6:30 - 10:00 pm beginning Tuesday, September 2.

Performances:

Enjoy the twists and turns of a murder mystery complete with characters of a western in this fun show that focuses around the murder of Albert Webster. Will you be able to figure it out?

October 17 and 18 at 8:00 pm
October 19 at 6:00 pm

Murder Mystery Tickets are $15 each and are available at Sunset Community Center in mid-September.

Geneva Park District Playhouse 38 kicked off its first show with the youth comedy “Comic Book Artist”  on November 8-10. The family-friendly comedy featured 18 young local actors as they told the story of Stanley Sappovitz, the janitor at Wonder Comics, who wanted to create characters for the comic books he loves.
